Well, more progress this time. The 410 is down at Andrew Mitchell's workshop, where he and his team have been making good headway with the repairs. The damaged panels have been removed, which has had a huge effect on the appearance. It straight away makes it look a million times better, as it now looks like a car under restoration instead of the sorry loser of a fight with an HGV. They've also had it on the jig and made sure it's all straight, and in the new year they should be in a position to start the big job of putting it all back together again. This is a bit more involved than originally hoped, as they found (inevitably) some corrosion in the steelwork of the front body frame, so that will obviously all be dealt with now. It will need doing one day anyway, and it's an awful lot easier to do now as the front wings are off already. I'll try and post a picture next time. Brian Marelli at Bristol Cars Services has also been as helpful as ever in supplying parts for the damaged near side front suspension, which along with that near side wing took most of the impact in the accident. Overall though, things generally are looking up, and as long as I don't run out of insurance money before it's finished we should be back on the road in time for spring. (Finds big lump of wood to grasp...!)
